The company PERO & CO d.o.o. was founded in 1993 and initially focused on the construction of residential and commercial buildings. In 1997, it expanded into the sale and processing of construction steel. Initially, the processing (bending) of concrete steel was done solely for the company’s own needs and local construction firms. However, increasing demand for steel processing services from other construction companies led to the opening of a new steel processing facility in Novigrad in 2004, the first of its kind in Istria.
